- Expression of Interest are invited for Provision of Medical Insurance Cover to Urunana Development Communication (Urunana DC) Employees. Urunana Development Communication (Urunana DC) is a National Non-Government Organization specialised in social and behaviour change communication (SBCC). The organization was founded in 2004 with the support of a UK based charity organization, Health Unlimited currently trading as Health Poverty Action. Urunana DC secured its legal entity under ministerial order NĀ° 138/11 for 27th December 2006 published in the National Gazette in 2007. Currently, the organization implements a SBCC program that uses various communication strategies such as; edutaining radio drama series, live community outreach drama shows, radio spots etcetera. In the recent past, various public health issues were addressed, notably; Reproductive health, Neonatal, maternal and child health, Immunization, cervical cancer, sanitation and hygiene, nutrition, malaria, gender in education and, literacy among lower primary grades. Although the program mainly focuses on public health sector issues, other social issues affecting health of the population are addressed through the various communication approaches including Urunana radio soap opera. To achieve her program objectives, Urunana DC employs 16 -18 full time employees and provides for medical insurance cover to the employees together with their legal dependents. In total, the required Medical Insurance service is expected to cover seventy (70) people (Staff + dependents). It is in this regard that Urunana DC seeks to procure medical insurance cover service from an insurance company registered in Rwanda to provide medical insurance cover to her bonified employees and their legal dependents for a period of one year. Bidder will be selected in accordance with Urunana DC procurement policies. The contract, once concluded with the successful service provider, will last for a period of twelve months.
