Description:
Request for proposals are invited for Procurement of Livestock for Selected Most Vulnerable Parents in Gs Ntarama, Gs Kibungo, Gs Butereri, Gs Ruhuha,Gs Kagasa and Gs Murama (Pigs and Goats). Objectives: 1.1 General Objective To create opportunities and strengthening community capacity for gender-responsive education. 1.2 Specific Objectives 1. To procure 132 Goats to GS (Ntarama and Ruhuha and Butereri). 2. To procure 132 Pigs to GS (Kagasa , Murama and Kibungo). 3. To procure 42 pigs to Nyamata youth center, A. Technical specifications for pigs to be distributed Female: 1. Pregnant female of minimum 2 months: Landrace minimum 50% cross breed and a minimum 10 months of age with a good growth of at least 80 kg. 2. -Will weight minimum 80 Kg for a pregnant female 3. A Laboratory analysis report issued by RAB for the pig selected and blood sampled are also required. Males: Pietrain of minimum 50% cross breed without phenotypic and/or other anatomical defects with a minimum of 60 kg. All pigs will be supplied by taking into consideration the following specifications: 1. Pigs are originated from areas which are officially free from African swine fever, Rouget 2. Pigs will be in quarantine/isolation while physical & blood tests before their delivery; 3. Pig do not show any genetic or other anatomical defects. 4. Pigs selected will be identified by a clearly ear-tags accompanied by a veterinary health certificate issued by RAB and will be transported by truck to beneficiaries in different sectors and 42 pigs will be transported at Nyamata youth center. 5. The supplier should be ready to replace any pig that can die from any disease or show any sign of disease within 14days after supplying.
