• Tenders are invited for Data Clerk - Consultant Location: Kigali Deadline: Wednesday, 13/12/2023 17:00 TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR DATA CLERK - CONSULTANT Purpose Willows International (WI) is an INGO that aims at expanding the utilization of comprehensive reproductive health services by providing individualized information, education, counselling, and referrals to women/and their partners in communities in need of such services. In Rwanda, WI has partnered with Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) / Ministry of Health (MoH) to implement a project to support the optimization of the government community health workers- and enhancing sexual reproductive health outcomes, this is achieved through strengthening existing systems for client management and follow-up and thereby improving the effectiveness and efficiency of CHWs and FP/SRH service providers in Ngoma and Rusizi districts. The Data Clerk will work as a temporary consultant for WIR for one year and will contribute to the collection of accurate and meaningful program data mainly from CHWs and timely enter it into WIR-s database system. The data clerk will participate actively in the enforcement of data quality assurance. The data clerk will be based at Ngoma or Rusizi (WIR-s district of operation) and will be supervised by WIR-s Program Officer, and will work closely with the MELO, and MIS expert to ensure smooth monitoring of program deliverables and performance indicators. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Record data provided directly from CHWs into the WIR database to ensure timely analysis and write-up of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports. Verify data by comparing it to source documents Verify data accuracy and obtain further information for incomplete data Update existing data as required Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation Sort and organize paperwork (CHW reports) after entering data for timely data quality audits Comply with data privacy and security. Maintain records of activities conducted using daily time logs Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Data clerk qualifications Accurate and efficient data entry skills. Prior experience of inputting large volumes of data quickly and accurately. Attention to details: To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the information. Basic understanding of Community health workers program, SRH and contraceptive methods is an advantage. Adherence to strict confidentiality standards with data privacy and security. Computer literacy: Experience in using data entry software and tools such as spreadsheet software, databases, and health information systems. Effective communication skills to clarify doubts, obtain missing information, and ensure the accuracy of the entered data; and commitment to work collaboratively with CHWs and other relevant people. Problem solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies in the data. This may involve reaching out to CHWs or other relevant sources to clarify information. Efficient time management skills for meeting deadlines and keeping up with the volume of data entry work. Quality assurance: Ability to implement and follow quality assurance standards and processes to identify and correct errors including use of regular audits of entered data to maintain high data quality standards. Bachelor-s degree or post high school training preferably related to statistics, data management or public health.
