Description:
Request for proposals are invited for Consulting Services-Support the Implementation of the Environmental and Social Upgrade Action Plan (Esap) at Brd This assignment will be carried out by a pool of experts and/or consulting firm referred to here as “the Consultant“. The Consultant is expected to work closely with the Bank-s business, operational and risk & compliance teams to revise the existing ESMS that should be adapted to the Bank-s needs and existing operational process. The Consultant will also develop internal tools for climate risk assessment and vulnerability screening for BRD-s investments and review existing gender initiatives within BRD and propose alternatives, where needed, to support women-s financial inclusion and in particular to support women-s businesses access to financial services and products. It will be essential to get a pragmatic, realistic and step-by-step approach all along the assignment, especially when developing the operational tools to make them effective, user-friendly, simple enough for non-E&S experts. In order to achieve the above-mentioned activities, the Consultant will closely work with the BRD-s E&S team. While the Consultant (lead) will bring in its experience with similar banks as well as already existing material (tools, checklists, guidelines, etc.), the local E&S team (BRD E&S team)-s main role is to provide knowledge on the local situation (E&S regulation and its application), and to adapt the necessary procedures and tools accordingly.
