• Tenders are invited for Consulting Firm to Develop an East Africa-E-Commerce Platform for Agribusiness. 1) A UI/UX designer will design digital assets, User Interface, and the user experience. Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings. Come up with a design system Quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. Test assets and optimize based on their performance. Iterate new designs based on user feedback. Create digital assets (static and video) for the e-Commerce. Create and internally publish pixel perfect designs and animation formulas. Skills and Experience Experience in the design thinking process, agile development, and lean startup methodologies. Experience working in a collaborative team environment. Experience working directly with developers to implement designs. Expertise with standard digital design tools, including Figma, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, InVision. Experience with user-centered design, rapid prototyping, and user testing. A good understanding of visual design principles like shape and color psychology. Experience creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences. Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities. 2) A Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works. Roles and Responsibilities Develop new user-facing features Build reusable code and libraries for future use Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs Optimize the frontend for maximum speed and scalability Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Skills and Experience Proficient understanding of HTML5, CSS3 Good understanding of ReactJS and Redux React Native is a huge plus Good understanding of service workers and PWAs Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. Proficient understanding of Git Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them. Working knowledge of data visualization frameworks like D3.js 3) A Back-End Developer will be managing the exchange of data between the server and the users. Focus on the development of all server-side logic, maintenance, and definition of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. Roles and Responsibilities Actively participate in the overall application lifecycle Build APIs to be consumed used by the Client-side Collaborate with front-end developers. Define and communicate technical and design requirements. Build a high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future. Stay up to date with current best practices. Conduct UI tests and optimize performance Experience Hands-on backend web development experience. Proficient knowledge of any backend programming language. In-depth understanding of databases and performance optimization Capability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system. Proven experience managing of hosting environment, that includes database administration and scaling an application to support load changes. Ability to setup, administer of backups, data migration, transformation, and scripting. Knowledgeable of OWASP security principles Skills Linux Git PostgreSQL or MySQL Debugging Any of the following Programming languages (Node.js (Typescript), Go, Rust, Python) Real-time tech like Socket.io and WebRTC REST APIs and GraphQL APIs.
